In life and in business, we often face uncertainty. However, it is rare that we all face the same level of uncertainty at the same time. I had two clients call me last week and ask how we are placed to cope with the current situation regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus). They wanted to make sure we had measures in place to ensure continuity in our service delivery. So I thought I would send this email as we understand that many of our clients are quite dependent on digital marketing. We also understand that in these uncertain times, continuing to receive leads/clicks/hits will assist with reducing the impact of this current situation and allow a faster recovery/upturn once things return to normal. Please let me reassure you that Business Assist are very well set up to continue to function at full capacity. Our whole business, systems and processes have been developed to allow our team to work from anywhere. Most of our team members work regularly from home. Therefore, we are all very well set up, comfortable and productive when working from home so there will be no disruption to your services provided by Business Assist. Some extra precautions that we have initiated to mitigate risk of impact on our business operations:
- All our team members have been told to work from home (effective from last week)
- Any face to face meetings (pre-planned or new requests) will be switched to video meetings
- We have requested that team members follow the Department of Health’s Social distancing guidelines (can be found here: Australian Government Social Distancing Guide)
- If possible, we have asked team members to cancel any travel plans. Holly & I have cancelled a future trip to Adelaide and I have cancelled a planned trip to Perth in April. As of now, no team members have any travel plans.
Although all our team members are now working from home, we understand that is not possible for all organisations to do this. The World Health Organisation suggests some low-cost measures in this document that will help prevent the spread of infections in your workplace and protect your customers, contractors and employees.
