What is UX/UI Design?
User experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design refers to the front end interface (page design and layout) you provide your website visitors, and also covers the way they navigate, and consume the information on the page. This includes content pages, product pages and other priority pages on your site. The focus of this practice is to ensure it’s easy for users to use your website, app or ecommerce store and make it easy to accomplish their goals.
Our services cover things like understanding your key user personas, mapping out the customer journey through your website and translating this into best-practice page structures and “calls to action” to make it easy for users to get in touch, find out more, or purchase from you.

UX / UI Design FAQs
Inevitably as a diverse set of users will visit your site, we build a flexible UX / UI style and structure to try to accomodate all the main personas and customer types. We develop primary, secondary and tertiary goals and plan calls to action and layouts that support ease of pursuing these.
It’s expensive paying for new users via Social or Search Advertising, or building new traffic via SEO so the logical first step in marketing your site is to ensure you are driving maximum results from visitors already arriving at your site. A well planned and beautiful user interface directly drives up conversion rates (we’ve seen it time and again) and therefore is a high priority in reviewing and addressing your overall Digital Marketing mix.
Information Architecture refers to the structure of your site, its navigation mechanisms, and the structure of the content on your site. For example will you have all pages acessible from your primary navigation menu, or only some? Will you build projects as “listings” on your site or just content pages? Will you ‘tag’, or ‘categorise’ these in certain ways to allow search or filtering to be most effective. These are just a few examples of the sort of things we cover when planning an effective Information Architecture.
We certainly do. Our experienced UI / UX team can assist with all aspects of Brand development from simple Logo Design through to facilitating Brand workshops to elicit priority focus areas in your business, its unique service proposition, the brand values or emotive aspects of how you will face the market, and building an effective Brand strategy and related Brand assets to support this.
No we support both full custom UX / UI design in our process and also supporting use of off the shelf designs from theme or template providers. For off the shelf designs, typically implemented to keep project budgets at a managable level, we find their is still a significant activity around Information Architecture and Customer Journey mapping that needs to be overlaid over the original theme designers UI and we support clients in this activity.
